Liên đoàn bóng đá thế giới (FIFA) vừa công bố bảng xếp hạng tháng 10 của các đội tuyển vào chiều nay (26/10). Đội tuyển Việt Nam tăng một hạng lên 94 thế giới, dù chúng ta bị trừ 6,89 điểm.
Cụ thể, đội tuyển Việt Nam tăng từ hạng 95 lên hạng 94 thế giới, với tổng số điểm hiện có 1.236,25 điểm. So với tháng trước đó, đội bóng của HLV Philippe Troussier bị trừ 6,89 điểm.
Trong tháng 10 vừa qua, đội tuyển Việt Nam bị trừ điểm sau hai trận thua Trung Quốc 0-2 (ngày 10/10) trên sân Đại Liên (Trung Quốc) và thua Hàn Quốc 0-6 (ngày 17/10) trên sân Suwon World Cup (Hàn Quốc).
Riêng trận đội tuyển Việt Nam thua Uzbekistan 0-2 ngày 13/10 trên sân tập ở Đại Liên không bị trừ điểm, vì trận đấu này không nằm trong khuôn khổ FIFA Days (các trận đấu quốc tế theo lịch do FIFA ấn định).
Thật ra, so với tỷ số thua tổng cộng 0-8 trước 2 đối thủ Trung Quốc và Hàn Quốc, không ghi được bàn nào, cùng lối chơi nhạt nhòa, đội tuyển Việt Nam chỉ bị trừ 6,89 điểm là ít. Dù vậy, do FIFA đã quy định, một đội bóng nếu thua các đối thủ có thứ hạng cao hơn mình, số điểm bị trừ sẽ ít hơn so với khi thua các đối thủ có thứ hạng ngang bằng hoặc thấp hơn.
Các đội tuyển Trung Quốc (hạng 80 thế giới) và Hàn Quốc (hạng 26 thế giới) có thứ hạng cao hơn hẳn đội bóng của HLV Troussier, nên đội tuyển Việt Nam không bị FIFA trừ điểm quá nặng khi thua các đội bóng này.
Cùng lúc đó, các đội bóng trong khu vực Đông Nam Á, những đội có vị trí gần với đội tuyển Việt Nam, cũng bị trừ điểm hoặc được cộng điểm rất ít trong chuỗi FIFA Days tháng 10. Do đó, đội bóng của HLV Torussier không những không rớt hạng, mà còn tăng hạng.
Cụ thể, Thái Lan bị trừ 4,06 điểm trong tháng 10. Đội bóng đất Chùa Vàng hòa với Estonia vào ngày 17/10 và thua rất đậm 0-8 trước Georgia vào ngày 12/10. Thái Lan giữ nguyên hạng 112 thế giới so với tháng 9. Malaysia và Philippines cũng đồng loạt rớt hạng. Malaysia rớt từ hạng 134 xuống hạng 137 thế giới, dù được cộng 1,82 điểm. Đây là số điểm cộng hầu như không đáng kể.
Còn Philippines rớt đến 6 bậc trên bảng xếp hạng FIFA tháng 10, từ vị trí 132 rơi xuống vị trí 138. Philippines bị trừ 3,35 điểm trong tháng này, họ thắng Kyrgyzstan 1-0 ngày 15/10 và thua Bahrain 0-1 ngày 17/10.
Việc đội tuyển Việt Nam được thăng hạng cũng một phần nhờ Philippines. Đối thủ có vị trí rất gần với đội tuyển Việt Nam trên bảng xếp hạng FIFA là Kyrgyzstan (tháng trước hạng 96). Kyrgyzstan vì trận thua Philippines 0-1, cộng với trận thua Bahrain 0-2 (ngày 12/10), khiến Kyrgyzstan bị trừ 4,57 điểm, rơi xuống vị trí 97.
Với hạng 94 thế giới, đội tuyển Việt Nam xếp hạng 15 châu Á, đứng cao nhất Đông Nam Á. Thái Lan xếp nhì khu vực, Malaysia đứng thứ 3, Philippines đứng thứ 4 và Indonesia đứng thứ 5.
Indonesia có 2 trận thắng Brunei với tổng tỷ số 12-0 (lượt đi và lượt về) ở vòng loại thứ nhất World Cup 2026 khu vực châu Á nhưng lại bị tụt hạng khiến Liên đoàn bóng đá nước này nghi ngờ có sự nhầm lẫn.
