Bên cạnh đó, ông Gong Oh-kyun cũng bày tỏ tình cảm và mong muốn cống hiến cho bóng đá Việt Nam trong tương lai nếu có cơ hội.
“Tôi vẫn rất thích Việt Nam và sẵn sàng đón nhận những thử thách mới. Trước khi chọn một CLB, tôi sẽ xem xét nhiều yếu tố, liệu họ có định hướng, triết lý phù hợp với mình không.
Tôi vẫn đang chờ những cơ hội đến với mình. Tôi vẫn còn nguyên khát khao cống hiến nhiều hơn nữa cho bóng đá Việt Nam.
Tôi từng dự khán trận derby thủ đô giữa CLB Hà Nội và CLB Viettel, nhưng không vì mục đích công việc. Tôi chỉ đến để thăm một số người bạn cũ. Tôi có quen một số cầu thủ và thành viên BHL của CLB Viettel.
Mọi chuyện chỉ có thế. Mặc dù vậy, tôi vẫn theo sát tình hình bóng đá Việt Nam với niềm tin về sự trở lại vào một thời điểm thích hợp với một CLB thích hợp”, ông Gong cho biết.
